Combat Graphic

1945 Civilian Version Graphic 45

$800

This is the 1945 civilian version of the 1942 Combat Graphic 4x5 camera.  Olive drab wooden body with no rangefinder and standard 4x5 spring back.  Focal speed shutter speeds of 1/1000, 1/500, 1/250th, 1/125th, and T.  Kodak Supermatic leaf shutter speeds of 1/400, 1/200, 1/100., 1/50, 1/25, 1/10, 1/5, 1/2, 1, plus B and T.   Truly incredible viewfinder accuracy is made possible with the peep site and wire frame line.

What's that round shiny thing?  Either an omelet fry pan or a flash bulb reflector!  It bayonets on the camera with neat military three prong precision.

Clamshell construction closes the camera up for beach landings.

The top lever tensions the focal plane shutter.  The lever below that releases it.   The round dial towards the lower front is the scale focus distance scale.  The standard spring 4x5 back does not rotate, but does offer ground glass focusing.

Batteries?  Yes, for the flash bulbs!
